Vijay Deverakonda, who shot to an unprecedented stardom with ‘Arjun Reddy’ and ‘Geetha Govindam’ is a rage not in Telugu states, but in Tamilnadu as well. His popularity increased by leaps and bounds in Tamilnadu. “Geetha Govindam” is a smash hit in Tamil too. According to Tamil trade analysts, the film grossed more than Rs 5 Cr in Tamilnadu so far setting a new record for a Telugu film. It is a non-Baahubali record, declared a trade analyst. “#GeethaGovindam is a non-Baahubali record holder in TN, grossing more than 5 CR in the state. Unexpected, undisputed blockbuster!,” he tweeted. The movie was not dubbed into the Tamil language. The Telugu version has grossed such massive collection. Surprisingly, it’s only Vijay Deverakonda after Mahesh Babu from Tollywood to have a huge following in Tamilnadu.

‘Rebelstar’ Prabhas who is busy with ‘Saaho’ put the movie shooting on hold for a while and started the shooting of his 20th movie directed by Radhakrishna of ‘Jil’ fame. The movie’s shooting started a few days ago in Italy and a few key scenes will be canned by Prabhas, and Pooja Hegde.
